We understand there are problems with the new all-weather pitch at Aviemore, insofar as the multi-use goalposts do not comply with the basic Laws of the game.

The posts there are regular football posts, but have rugby posts attached to the top.  It has been brought to our attention by the SFA that these posts will not be permissable for use in matches conducted under their auspices due to the possibility of the rugby extensions impacting unfavourably on play.

This is presently being looked into and we’ll keep you informed.
